Alien-Inspired Handmade Ceramic Vessel
A handmade ceramic vessel inspired by the strange, biomechanical forms of the Alien films.
Created by a ceramic artist connected to a contemporary studio in Jingdezhen, this piece begins with a deliberately thick ceramic body.
The surface is then carved by hand, with the raised structures and fine lines carefully shaped and refined to create its unusual mechanical appearance.
The result sits somewhere between a drinking vessel and a small sculptural object.
Use it as a water cup, mug, or wine vessel - or simply place it on a shelf and let it do what it does best: look strange.
We discovered this piece through a local creative circle in Jingdezhen. It is entirely handmade and fired in an electric kiln.
It doesn't look like traditional Jingdezhen tea ware. That is the point.
